Hiring a registered agent service in Oregon is an important decision. You shouldn’t hire just anybody. Your registered agent, after all, will be responsible for accepting legal notices on your behalf, as well as ensuring that you receive your documents as quickly as possible. If your documents are held up and you miss a critical deadline, you will be held liable. Your authority to do business in the state may even be revoked.
Who would you trust with this responsibility? Do you believe a major national corporation has your best interests at heart, or are you just another number in their corporate system? Where do you want your money going: some far-off corporate headquarters or to your local economy?
At Oregon Registered Agent LLC, we run a registered office right here in Keizer. This is our home. It’s not just where we do business, it’s where we raise our families, too. We may not be as big as some of our national competitors. Maybe our offices aren’t as plush. But we know Oregon business.
We take pride in providing our customers with quality service at a great price. Every one of our customers is important to us. With Oregon Registered Agent LLC, you won’t be just another number. That’s our promise.
Why Do I Need an Oregon Registered Agent?
According to Oregon State law (ORS Vol. 2 Chpt. 60.111), all business entities registered with the state appoint and maintain a registered agent within Oregon. The role of the registered agent was created to insure that legal notices could be delivered reliably to businesses.
The Secretary of State’s office will not approve your business formation filing without an Oregon registered agent.
How Do I Change to Your Oregon Registered Agent Service?
Option One: Change on Annual Report
Oregon allows businesses to update information when filing their Annual Report. Annual Reports can be filed online at the Secretary of State’s website. It is also possible to mail or fax your filing to the Secretary of State. You are not required to supply original signatures. Mailed/faxed filings take longer to process, usually 3 to 5 business days. Online filings process immediately.
Option Two: File an Information Change Form
If you need to change registered agents outside of your normal Annual Report period, you may file an Information Change Form (here for LLCs, and here for Corporations). These forms can be printed and either mailed or faxed to the Secretary of State’s office. This form does not require our signature.
Do I Sign Up Before or After I Form My Company?
If you file without a registered agent, the Secretary of State will reject your application.
When you hire Oregon Registered Agent LLC, all of your documents will be available in your online account. Oregon allows online filings of formation documents (except for Foreign LLCs).
What Do Oregon Registered Agents Do?
- We accept services of process, legal notifications, and official mail from the Oregon Secretary of State on your behalf
- Maintain a physical address here in the State of Oregon (called a registered office)
- Stay open during regular business hours to accept notices and mail on your behalf
- Contact you when we receive mail, notifications and processes

Is My Information Made Public After I File?
Yes, it can be. But not if you hire us.
In Oregon, when you file your Articles of Organization or Articles of Incorporation, you must list the name and address of your Organizer/Incorporator. This information will be part of the public record.
If you hire Oregon Registered Agent LLC, however, we will prepare your documents for you. We will act as your Organizer/Incorporator. This will keep your personal information out of the public record.
